Guanyin's Compassionate Rescue

One day, a fisherman’s village along the eastern coast was ravaged by a monstrous tempest summoned by a wrathful sea dragon. Waves like towering mountains devoured homes, and winds tore through fields, leaving the people in utter despair. An old widow, whose sons had been swallowed by the fury of the sea, knelt on the broken shore, her tears merging with the rain, and called out to Guanyin with a heart shattered by grief. Hearing her plea, Guanyin turned to Sudhana and Dragon Girl. 'The hour of salvation is upon us,' she spoke, her voice a soothing balm. Sudhana, wielding a radiant lotus lantern, descended upon the turbulent waves, his presence calming the raging winds. Meanwhile, Dragon Girl, with her deep connection to the water realms, communicated with the sea dragon, gently pacifying its anger with teachings of compassion and harmony, revealing how suffering begets suffering.
